How To Use The Law Of Attraction: 17-Second Rule
Something that is so amazing about the 17-second rule is that it works almost instantly. I can promise you that something good will come out of it once you begin to practice it. Everyone has experienced different stretches of life, whether it has been over the course of days or months, and abase moments happen more often than not. When experiencing the curves that life throws at you, most people tend to hold onto the worst part of the situation rather than the positive. I am here to explain that it is so easy to switch your mood and mindset in just 17 seconds.
What is the Law of Attraction:
The Law of Attraction is simply defined as the attractive, magnetic power of the universe that draws similar energies together. It manifests through the power of creation everywhere in many ways. The law attracts thoughts, people, ideas, situations, and also circumstances. We all have goals and different things that we want to achieve and attract. Along with people that we want to meet or places that we want to see. The reason the Law of Attraction is such a great way to achieve those goals that you have is that the purpose is literally in the title. Basically, when you are thinking about your goals and thinking about the very thing you want, the Law of Attraction states that the more you think about something, the more you are going to invite it into your life. The more experiences you are going to see will soon go with that goal and you invite that goal into your life. The Law of Attraction is neat because it is something that is always there but is not fully visible until you start thinking about your goal more and more.
The 17 Second Rule by Abraham Hicks:
Abraham Hicks is a motivational speaker/author, and her main topic of discussion is the Law of Attraction. One of Hick’s famous things that she talks about is the 17- second rule, meditation, and pure thoughts. What she says to do is think of what it is you want. Let’s just say you want to lose ten pounds. For 17 seconds you are going to lay down, shut your eyes and think about that goal. Whatever the case may be you are going to close your eyes and envision your goal happening. Then from there, most likely you are going to think of another good thought and this is where the Law of Attraction comes into play. This goes hand in hand with the 17-second rule because you think one good thought that usually leads to another good thought which then leads to another good though and so on. Abraham Hicks says to multiply the 17-second rule by four, which then gives you 68 seconds, and you should try to do a 68-second meditation every single morning. We all have 68 seconds to spare and often do not even bother using them for something like this. The advantage you have with using your 68 seconds this way will get you closer to your desired goal. What you will begin to notice about the 17-second rule is that it can work both ways. It works when you think good positive thoughts over and over again and the same thing for when you think negatively.
When you think of something bad happening or when you think of your goals never getting accomplished or you think you are a failure. You need to get out of that negative mindset because when you begin to think that way the chances of you thinking a positive thought is pretty low. Once you are in that space you are going to think a bad thought and then another bad thought and it becomes a snowball effect of negativity. This is where the 17-second rule comes in handy because it starts to get you more aware that you control the thoughts that are going through your head. Hicks says that if you are thinking a bad thought, and that is normal because we are only human, remind yourself about this rule. For 17 seconds just think of something positive, even if it has nothing to do with your goal. Maybe your goal is putting you in a bad mood because it seems so far away. All you have to do is think about something that makes you happy, such as a memory, a funny movie or even something calming like the ocean. However, if your goal is making you happy stay focused on that and focus on what will instantly put you in a good mood. All it takes is 17 seconds for you to rise back up and continue living your life in full positivity.
Sometimes we often take on other’s energy without even meaning to and we can go from being sky high to down in the dumps. By changing your thoughts and your attitude you can instantly be reminded of all the good you have in your life. The 17-second rule can instantly help you to get out of a bad mood and get you one step closer to reaching your goals!
